French Bulldogs have many desirable traits that you want in a dog. They are loyal, affectionate, easygoing, playful, sociable, bright, alert and lively. Another great trait they have is their funny personalities, they will always make you smile! These are all reasons why we love Frenchies, they have such great personalities. French Bulldogs also have great temperaments, many people even have French Bulldogs as their emotional support dog. They make great companions. Frenchies have a tendency to become stubborn especially when it comes to food, treats, potty training and training. Although they have a strong stubborn streak, they are big softies who ultimately want to please, show them love and affection (and food) and you’ll have their heart forever. Frenchies are one of the most comical dog breeds, always doing things to make you laugh or bring a smile to your face. They have a special way about them. If this is your first time owning a Frenchie, you’re in for a real treat, there really isn’t another dog like them.
French Bulldogs are not known for aggression, they are more like big babies with gentle hearts. The only time they may become aggressive is if they become jealous or protective of their owners or another dog is trying to eat their food. Not all frenchies are food aggressive but some are, it depends on how they are trained as puppies. Typically if you have more than one dog in your home, one will end up more alpha, that is nature, the alpha may not like their food being eaten and will growl if their sibling comes near it. French Bulldogs overall are not aggressive dogs though, they are happy-go-lucky and would rather be cuddling on the couch, playing fetch outside or napping. They are big nappers and like big comfy beds.
Frenchies make awesome pets, in fact they are rated #3 dog in the country and for good reason, they are amazing dogs. They will be your companion, best friend and cuddler. They’ll always be by your side and will make you laugh even if you’re feeling down. Frenchies are also downright adorable. They don’t bark, if at all unless it is for something important like someone knocking at the door or they want something, like food or for you to play with them. Typically though they don’t communicate through barking. Some frenchies however are ‘talkers’ and they will talk to you through barks. Most of the time they aren’t barkers or ‘talkers’ but this could happen!
Frenchies are great with kids, in fact, they are one of the top 10 dog breeds if you have children or family. They make amazing companions for children. They know when they are being too rough and enjoy the companion and affection of a child because of their gentle nature. They are the perfect dog if you have children or starting a family.
